This fall is going to be a huge for DC Comic shows on all TV networks. We have the returning hit shows of “Arrow” and “The Flash” on The CW, and “Gotham” on FOX. We also will be keeping our eye on the freshmen shows: “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (CW) and “Supergirl” (CBS). The majority of these shows have a super power duo of producers, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.
Andrew Kreisberg and and actor from the new show “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” was able to take some time out of the TCA‘s to talk with The Hollywood Reporter about the new season that is coming upon us. So keep on reading to learn all of the juicy goodness for your shows.
In the fourth episode of “The Flash” this season they are doing a flash back episode to the night the particle accelerator explosion happened. it sounds like it is going to be from a view point that we are not expecting.
As we know the fifth episode of “Arrow” this season will feature Matt Ryan playing John Constantine. That episode will be featuring a resurrection probably from the Lazarus Pit storyline that we saw last year.
Ever since there were whispers of “Supergirl” happening you could just feel the hype. And I’m pretty sure Andrew and his team is feeling that to as he has this to say about the new show.
“I’ve seen young girls so excited for this. They’ve never really had anything like this going back from when they did Wonder Woman … That’s really gratifying. For all of the talk about girl power and our goals, children are going to get that glimpse of something they haven’t had before.”
Also since “DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow” is a mid season show there is a lot of time for them set up the storyline. Here is how they are planning on setting up that storyline for everyone.
“Both Arrow and Flash are helping to set those things up, in both big ways and small ways, which is lovely,” Kreisberg said. “The mystery of what happened with Palmer (Brandon Routh) is playing out on Arrow. Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) will also be playing out in the first seven episodes. The Flash, we obviously have Firestorm and Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell). And Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee) lives in Central City in the Flash finale. Getting to know her. There’s going to be a lot happening leading up to the crossover, which is serving as a [quasi] pilot for Legends.”
That is just the tip of the ice burg of everything that was said in this interview. If you want to read more and even find out if there might be a cross over with “Supergirl”/”Arrow”/”The Flash” you can read it all right here.
